You can do a reverse cell phone lookup the hard way or the easy way - it's up to you.
The hard way is the free way. This way works about 30% of the time and usually supplies you with information you either don't need or want but I'll go over it for you so as you can at least try!
The Hard Way!
Providing that you have access to the internet it will involve a bit of time. How much time depends on you. You put into the search box of your favorite search engine the number you want to find in quotes i.e. "123456" making sure you also have the area code. What will happen is that, if you're lucky, a website or forum post may come up with the cell phone number. This is because many people include cell phone details as their contact point of reference in say their blog or commercial website.
Right so let's try something else. This isn't the best course of action as if the caller is a prankster or something worse it can be downright stupid to do it - it's up to you but I did say that I would tell you how to do this the hard and free way!
Use *67 and call the number from an outside phone box. You may recognize the voice or better still they may even say their name. This may work but if you're like me I don't answer unidentified calls on my cell as I don't recognize who's calling and would be suspicious!
The Easy Way!
I'll be up front with you here. This involves using the resources of an online database usually refereed to as a reverse cell phone directory and involves a small fee which allows the provider to keep an up to date register of cell numbers. The best ones will allow you to do an initial search to see if the details are on the database - if so you're in luck and best of all it shouldn't take more that 5 minutes to do that reverse cell phone lookup!
